Although very windy, the sun was shining on the stunning venue of Hotel Convento La Magdelena situated on the outskirts of the city of Antequerra.

Joined by their own priest, a beautiful ceremony was shared by family and friends in the Salon Iglesia situated within the hotel. Celebrations then began with a few drinks and canapes on the top terrace. After a short walk around the hotel and grounds with Georgie and Neil for some contemporary portraits it was time to head down to the bottom terraces for dinner. Following some funny but moving speeches dinner was served starting with some of the most amazing tapas that I have seen. It was then time for me to say goodbye and the evening celebrations to get into full swing.

Pippa and Mike, Maro Church and Hotel Albayzin del Mar, Almunecar Spain

As I arrived at the Iglesia de las maravillas, the church in Maro, Mike accompanied by his groomsman and family were patiently waiting for the arrival of his bride to be Pippa. After a beautiful ceremony there was time for some refreshments before making our way to Hotel Albayzin del Mar Almunecar for the celebrations to begin. Following a few drinks and canapes dinner was served on the terraces. After some entertaining but moving speeches a memorable slideshow of the couples life together was shown to comerate this special day. It was then time to clear some tables and for the dancing to begin.

Olga and Alan, El Molino de Santillan, Malaga Spain.

Preparations began in the Hotel Los Fenicios on the beautiful beach front of Herradura. As Olga had her makeup and hair prepared by close friends Alan enjoyed a pre ceremony drink with close friends and family in the reception area of the hotel. It was then onto the San Antonio Church in Frigiliana Square for the marriage service. As guests made there way to the El Molino de Santiilan near to Malaga, there was time for a short walk around the cobble streets for some photographs before joining their guests. Celebrations began with some drinks and canapes in the gorgeous gardens.
After a lovely dinner and some moving speeches on the terrace everyone made there way inside for the first dance. Dancing and partying then continued to early hours of the morning.

Heather and Greg, Restaurante Casa Luque, Nerja, Spain

As I arrived at the El Salvador Church in Nerja Greg, accompanied by his groomsman were patiently waiting for the arrival of his bride to be Heather. Looking amazing, Heather arrived at the church in a open top classic car. After a beautiful ceremony there was just time for a short around Nerja before making our way to Resaurante Casa Luque for the celebrations to begin. Following a few drinks and canapes dinner was served on the sea-view terrace. Evening celebrations than began with a flamenco performance by Mike Jingle and his unique gypsy group.

Sarah and Paul Tikitano Beach Restaurant, Marbella.

On a beautiful hot summers evening Sarah and Paul were joined by close family and friends to celebrate their wedding at Tikitano Beach Restaurant, Marbella. Paul was holding back his emotions as Sarah, accompanied by her brother and bridesmaid appeared and walked down the isle to the sound of a Scottish piper. After a very emotional ceremony there was just time for some quick informal portraits before the sun set over the sea.
Following a georgeous meal and some very funny but moving speeches the dancing began and then carried on into the early hours of the morning.
A huge thank you to Sarah and Paul and their lovely family and friends for making me feel more like a guest then their photographer.

Christina and Aaron, Barcelona Spain

I still enjoy second shooting at destination weddings as this is how my career first began. I remember first meeting Jeremy Standley at a friends wedding that he was photographing. I was amazed by his work so when he asked if I was interested in working with him I gladly accepted, to date I am privileged to have assisted him second shooting at nearly 100 of his weddings. One of which was in Barcelona, I love Barcelona so I jumped at the chance of returning there to shoot another.

We arrived in Barcelona on the Friday to shoot Christina and Aaron´s pre wedding cocktail party. This was an ideal time to meet them before their wedding day. The party took place in the Dominicas de la Presentation which is close to the Basilica Santa Maria Del Mar where the ceremony was to be held. Fortunately there was enough time before the party to visit the cathedral, when entering it I was in awe of its beauty and was really excited to be shooting in there the next day.

The sun was shining as we made our way to some funky apartments in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. While Jeremy joined Christina and the bridesmaids for their preparation, I joined Aaron and his groomsman, staying with them until meeting back up with jeremy at the amazing cathedral for the ceremony.

After the ceremony Jeremy stayed behind with Christina and Aaron as I headed straight back with the guests to the stunning venue Masia Egara for the celebration to begin.

With the celebrations in full swing Christina and Aaron joined their guests for some cocktails. It was then into dinner before the party began. It was an amazing day, and as we left we could see that the party was going to be going on for a good few hours.

Congratulations to Christina and Aaron on their special day and a big thank you to Jeremy jeremystandley.com who has not only been a great mentor but has become a very good friend.

Valeria and Antonio, La Virginia Chapel Marbella

When I was asked to photograph the wedding of Valeria and Antonio I was delighted when I was told the venue was to be at the La Virgina Chapel. The chapel is one of my favourite Chapels, it is a hidden gem nestled in a small Pueblo blanco style villiage in Marbella. I was to cover the ceremony and a few informal photographs after the ceremony before Valeria and Antonio accompanied by their close friends and family enjoyed a celebratory dinner at the La Virigina restaurant. Thank you to Carla of Reviva-weddings for the organization of this beautiful intimate wedding.

El Cortijo de los Caballos, Benahavis

When I first saw the El Cortijo de los Caballos, a private villa near Benahavis I was captivated by it´s character. Formerly an equestrian centre, this stunning Cortijo has since been sympathetically converted into a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom Cottage and 10 Casitas with self catering facilities and private terraces or gardens.
El Cortijo de los Caballos is a rare gem being one of the very few Cortijos left in the Marbella area and is situated in a quiet valley near to the picturesque white village of Benahavis and 10 minutes from Marbella and Puerto Banus, it is also just a 5 minute drive to the beautiful beaches of the Costa Del Sol.
Recently renovated but retaining all of its original charm the property resembles a tropical oasis with its numerous palm trees and flower beds, lawned terraces and romantic shaded courtyards. Its secluded location makes it possible to truly escape the crowds at this relaxing and tranquil retreat whilst still being able to enjoy the nightlife of Puerto Banus and Marbella.
The Cortijo is ideal for use as a private wedding venue, private parties, creative writing & painting courses, seminars and mind, body & soul retreats as well as a private rental for large groups of family or friends who wish to holiday together but still retain some privacy.

Alix and Stan, Marbella and Ojen Spain.

The atmosphere was very relaxed as I entered the room at the Villa La Buena Vida. Alix was calm as her hair and make-up were prepared by Lorraine of Princess Bride. Once ready it was a short car journey to the Iglesia Parroquial de Nuestra Senora de la Encarnacion in the beautiful village of Ojen where Alix´s groom, friends and family were eagerly awaiting her arrival. After a lovely service there was time for a few drinks and photographs before heading back to the villa for the celebrations to really begin.
Following a few more drinks and some canapes the guests were seated to enjoy some amazing Paella prepared and served by The Arden Pig Company.Table decorations were created by Laura and her fabulous team of Reviva-weddings.

Catherine and Richard, Los Monteros, Marbella, Spain

Catherine’s preparations began at the beautiful Los Monteros Hotel. Catherine seemed very relaxed as she got ready with the help of her sisters. It was then onto the Beautiful Old Town Marbella to the Señora de la Encarnacion Church for the ceremony where Richard was nervously waiting for his beautiful bride. After a beautiful service there was time for a short walk around the Old Town for a few photographs. With celebrations only just beginning it was onto the stunning Los Monteros Hotel for the cocktail reception. Following a few drinks and canapes the guests made their way down to the stunning La Cabane where dinner was to be served. After some moving speeches and a lovely dinner the evening celebrations began with the first dance. The celebrations went on late into the night with some great dance moves on the dance floor by close family and friends.
