Kerry and Dave´s Special Day

El Salvador Church in Nerja was the chosen location for the wedding of Kerry and Dave. Before the ceremony Kerry enjoyed getting ready accompanied by her bridesmaids. I met with them in a nearby  hairdressers were there were certainly having fun and getting ready for the day ahead. We soon headed off to the Hotel Balcón de Europa where I managed to get a few shots before I left her to finish getting ready and rushed around the corner to the El Salvador Church to find the boys who were having a beer in a café just outside it.

Below are just a few of my personal favourite images and the story of their day…

Kerry and Dave’s day
Ceremony
Just before we all entered the church there was just enough time for a couple of pictures of the boys and guests before catching Kerry, her Dad and her bridesmaid walking across the Balcón de Europa towards the church.
Dave looked very nervous but excited as he waited for Kerry to arrive. The service was very traditional and Kerry and Dave looked quite serious as they listened to the priest. This turned to smiles as the exchanged their vows and rings to each other. Once the ceremony was finished they both happily danced back up the aisle as husband and wife to receive some hugs and kisses of congratulations from family and friends outside. The newly weds together with their guests then moved over to the Balcón arches for some group photographs and a few portrait shots.
Reception
We all then gathered at Cochran’s Restaurant for some cocktails, canapés and light music on the terrace from Mike Jingle. This allowed some time for Kerry, Dave and I to sneak off outside for some pictures on a paseo pathway with a sea-view backdrop also giving them some time on their own to reflect with each other on the day so far. We headed back into the restaurant and the guests all sat ready for some truly funny speeches.
I was only asked to cover unto when they sat for dinner but i was later heard from Kerry that they had a fantastic evening, which is a shame I wash´t there to cover.
A big thank you to Joan of Spanish Wedding Planner, for the planning of a lovely day.
