When Sarah and Gareth first contacted me for details of my services, they explained that they lived in Dubai so felt it was easiest to communicate via email. They continued by adding that they were looking forward to coming to Palacete de Cázulas, Spain for some cooler weather! as even Andalucia, with it’s hot sun was a more pleasant temperature than Dubai‘s mid 40′s and 75% humidity, something I am not used to hearing.

My second in a simultaneous trilogy of weddings ending at El Cortijo de los Caballos, it had been raining for a few days and was in fact still raining. Nothing was going to change the mood of this lovely wedding at the church of Benahavis as I prepared to get wet and try to avoid my equipment getting too wet…

Emma and Brad… A lovely, thoughtful and very caring couple who spent just as much time if not more, worrying about the comfort of their guests at the El Oceano Beach Hotel, Torrenueva, than themselves. I knew straight from the start when Emma and Brad made sure I was fed, watered and had everything I needed that if its possible for me to put in that little bit more effort, that I would certainly do so. for them.

I had first shot here at La Roca Rara with my good friend Jeremy Standley a few years back and liked it as this private villa has a lot of character in my mind and is certainly great for 60 guests. I hadn’t met with Sabrina and Michael prior to wedding though and had literally only just spoken a few days prior the wedding. I met Kerry and her bridesmaid in a hairdressers in Nerja and thought they were great. It was off to Velez-Malaga at the fantastic Cortijo Bravo with it’s 20 tastefully decorated roooms for this beautiful wedding. Like many of my clients, Francesca & Brad stressed to me that they were not interested in posed type photography. This was great to hear as I always prefer to shoot a natural reportage than a false looking story. I knew straight away that we would all get on fab and after talking to them I saw also that their lovely family would ensure the wedding day would turn out just as they wanted…

I first heard about El Cortijo de los Caballos and met Rachel who runs it when asked to shoot the images for their Cortijo website and I straight away thought that it was a perfect venue for smaller wedding parties. This proved to be the case for Leanne and John, a lovely couple who were staying their to be married on a hot and sticky day in July. The Cortijo being near Marbella is just simply a bonus for me, as I prefer to photograph than drive!
